J. Cooney Limited is an established; family owned and operated Civil engineering Contractor located in Rochdale, Greater Manchester.

Established in 1986 by its founder and Managing Director, Jim Cooney, the Company originally operated as Essexcare (Northern) Limited.

Policy and objectives are established which recognise and provide a quality service in all aspects of the Company’s activities whilst continuing to develop partnering and repeat business opportunities.

The Company is heavily focused on Clients requirements, with investment in staff, technology, plant and machinery, to provide added value to both themselves and their Clients.

The Directors and Management of J.Cooney Limited are a team of experienced Civil Engineering professionals and are supported by a stable, highly trained and skilled workforce.

To ensure that high standards are met for both existing and future Clients the Management are committed to maintaining and developing the necessary systems including quality management, health and safety and Client Liaison.

Projects have varied in cost from a few thousand to £500,000 for both public and private sector clients and the flexible approach of the Company has resulted in a steady growth.
